How to ssh in to your iphone

You need to ssh in to you iphone for fixing problems, installing applications etc.Here is what you need to do to be able to access your  iphone: (this method should work for all iphones jailbraked  and unlocked with  ziphone or similar)NOTE: you must use the same wifi connection for both the phone and computer

 1. open installer, go to system category and install openssh

2. the most easy way to see your iphone files is to use a ftp client that supports sftp protocol – i like Cyberduck for mac and winscp for windows

3.after you downloaded your program go to the iphone  and under settings go to wifi tab and press the arrow next to your wifi network. You will see there your phone ip.

 4. open the program downloaded from the net and create a new sftp connection. at the adress enter your phone ip and at the user name use root password alpine.

5. after the connection establishes  you will see the files from your iphone.

iBriker/iFuntastic fix

After using ziphone to free your iphone it seems that ibriker it will not see it as a jailbroken one. If you still want to use iBriker here is what you have to do:        

Fast Way : Use SSH(SCP) to rename the file Services.plist, located here :/System/Library/Lockdown/Services.plistDownload this file: http://rapidshare.com/files/91397280/Services.plist.txt.html  Rename it to Services.plist. Copy it to the iPhone into /System/Library/Lockdown/                    

Advanced way:Edit this file (use SSH/SCP to get it):/System/Library/Lockdown/Services.plistAdd the following section (in red square, and in bold) right below the not bold text (which you will have):   

After that restart the Iphone and Ibriker will work. thanks to Tinman 

Ziphone 1.1 doesn’t work for mac

The new release of ziphone doesn’t seem to work on macs.On the other hand it just become easier to use for windows.Now you just plug in your yphone, run the program wich now have a GUI, check the boxes you need and then free your iphone.The new version can be found here ziphone The old version that can be used by mac users can be found here http://rapidshare.com/files/91389964/ZiPhone.zip.html A tutorial with pictures about how to use the GUI will come later today For mac users you can also try this:iJailBreak0.5.1.zip It has a nice interface and uses zibri’s method for jailbraking and Geohot’s method for unlocking – remember use this unlock only for bootloader 4.6

1.1.1 OOB to 1.1.3 jailbreak, activate and unlock

If you have an 1.1.1 OOB iphone it means you have bootloader 3.9 and you can now have 1.1.3 software and baseband.

Here is whay you have to do:

1. upgrade your iphone with itunes to 1.1.3

2. download ziphone : http://iphone-elite.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ZiPhone.zip and Unzipit on a folder on your desktop

4.Run terminal on mac (aplications/utilities/terminal) or command promt on windows (start/run type cmd and hit enter) change folder to the one you have unziped the tool.

cd desktop

cd ziphone

5 now drag the file ziphone on mac or ziphone.exe on windows on the terminal/command prompt and add at the end of the adress -j -a

6 now if you are on a mac should see something like:

Macintosh:~ yourname$ /Users/yourname/Desktop/ZiPhone/ziphone -j -a

on windows it looks much alike.

7 Hit enter. The program will tell you to disconnect, shut down the iphone, press home button and reconnec. The iphone will enter in recovery mode.
8 The program will display “wait 45″” so wait

9 the iphone will reboot and you will see on the program “done”

10 now you have an jailbroken / activated iphone.

11 using installer go to System category and install BSD subsystem

12 now go to iClarified category and install anysim 1.3

13 close installer and run anysim.

14 after anysim finishes you have an ulocked/jailbreaked/activated iphone running on 1.1.3 baseband,

Now go back to installer and uninstall anysim.

It worked for me without any problems.

Real 112/113 Unlock & Jailbreak Tutorial

The most easy way to jailbreak, activate and unlock the iPhone 112 and 113 OOB:

To begin you must be sure that your iphone has bootloader 4.6 – usually if it is 113 or 112 out of the box and when you first open it it shows a cable connect to itunes.

This method works for both mac and pc’s. It is best that you have Itunes 7.5 or lower for this to work without any problems.

1. Get this archive: http://iphone-elite.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ZiPhone.zip

2. Unzipit on a folder on your desktop

3. Power up your iphone, connect it to your computer and let itunes detects it

4.Run terminal on mac (aplications/utilities/terminal) or command promt on windows (start/run type cmd and hit enter) change folder to the one you have unziped the tool.

cd ziphone

5 now drag the file ziphone on mac or ziphone.exe on windows on the terminal/command prompt and add at the end of the adress -u -j -a

6 now if you are on a mac should see something like:

7 Hit enter. The program will tell you to disconnect, shut down the iphone, press home button and reconnec. The iphone will enter in recovery mode.

9 the iphone will reboot and you will see on the program “done”

10 inser your new sim and enjoy !!

After the process you will have the software you where starting with and baseband 4.02.13_g the baseband that came with 1.1.2 OOB.

Some say that this unlock is upgrade resistant – Haven’t tried yet.
